I paint video-game themed art which is based upon actual games from the past 30+ years. I have been doing art of this type on the video game convention circuit for nearly a decade; I have enjoyed watching the world of gaming craft grow up in that time! My pieces are not always direct screenshots. I instead focus on capturing moments of play or particular characters, icons, and items which bring the essence of playing the game to the viewer. I create crisp, uniform, handpainted pixels, which are as true as I can make them. My paintings look as good from 10" away as from 10', all the while retaining the pixellated quality that makes them video game images.
