I entered the professional art game at 16-years-old. My first sale was a $15 portrait of Jesus I painted for a classmate. I am kind of glad I don't have a picture of it--I really don't want to know what it looks like through the lens of time. I've taken dozens of art classes and courses through the years, but I never felt the need to seek a degree in order to do what I do at a high level. I am always striving to improve, learn and grow as an artist.
Currently, I am a full-time student at the University of Louisville, earning a degree in History with a minor in Archaeology. The subjects inform nearly everything I do. In the future, I look forward to combining my passions into the direction of my art in exciting ways. I also have a passion for vintage items, and love incorporating them into my art (as well as my daily life...) Current obsessions include clocks, office supplies, dishes and radios.
I'm happily married to my very best friend in the world. We live in a 1950s ranch overlooking the interstate in Louisville, KY, with an army of cats and a turtle named Brooklyn. My life is bursting with all I could want, and I hope I can share a little of it with you all through my art.
